Design Intention: SCAD B.F.A. Student Project

Overview: Small Details in Nature fascinate me. I love noticing the details most people pass by. I was given the task to determine what makes me happy and the outcome was ordinary things that are beautiful. For this poster specifically, I was inspired by the interior of a red cabbage. First, I created a sculpture from hand-dyed paper to represent the red cabbage interior. Then, I photographed the sculpture and digitally carved the letterforms from the image.
