“Unnoticed” Plant Patterns
Noticing the details surrounding my daily life are some of the greatest moments that I experience. There is beauty everywhere we look. Much of this goes unnoticed because we don’t stop and take time to “smell the flowers”. My series was inspired by my hopes for viewers to finally see the small details they pass by daily. Each piece is created from a flower or type of greenery found in my walks around the city. These are then repeated into an extraordinary visual of structure and unity that cannot be overlooked. The closer up the viewer gets to the work, the more understandable the original subject becomes. Viewers experience a hide-and-seek of sorts, discovering the original source that I found so beautiful.
