The Wedding Adventure of Nick & Casey Cannon

I had the pleasure of attending Nick & Casey's wedding in Savannah, GA. Their love for each other is so apparent that joy just exudes from the two of them. Their wedding day was not like most wedding days. All of their original plans fell apart because of a "little" natural disaster called Hurricane Matthew. For a planner and a bride, this is one of the worst possible scenarios that could happen. Savannah went into full evacuation mode a few days before their wedding and the city completely shut down. All of their vendors were inaccessible. And you know what? They got married anyways! This just speaks so much to their character and determination. These two were going to get married no matter what! Casey asked me if I could shoot a few photos and of course I accepted! I was honored to share a part in their special day! Casey and Nick re-planned their entire wedding the day-of. All of the original plans were abandoned. They found a new reception space a few hours before their ceremony and decided to get married in Forsyth Park. Trees were down and there was debris everywhere but a spot was cleared next to the fountain and a lovely pathway was created with flower arrangements and lanterns. All of their friends and family gathered in expectation and happiness. The day could not have been more beautiful. It was 77 degrees and the sun was shining bright. The energy in our little group was so positive and uplifting. This was a determined group of people. You know people adore you when they come to your wedding rain or shine, hurricane or not. The ceremony was perfection. Both Casey and Nick were glowing... and I mean that literally. The sun created a glow all over these two love birds. After the ceremony (and lots of happy tears), we all headed to the Andaz hotel to dance the night away. The food was great, the drinks were plentiful, the cake was superb, the dancing was unstoppable and the love was unmatched! I'm brought to tears thinking back on the day. The love that Casey and Nick have for each other is rare and precious and I am so glad they found it with each other. I am so beyond blessed to know them. This spontaneous, gorgeous wedding will only be remembered as incredible perfection. 

P.S. I heard that rain on your wedding day is supposed to bring good luck. So I guess a Hurricane means you are an unstoppable match. ;)
